Udall Statement on Payroll Tax Holiday Extension

WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Tom Udall (D-NM) issued the following statement today on the Senate's passage of a two-month payroll tax cut extension:
"New Mexico families are doing everything they can just to make ends meet right now and I refuse to sock them with a $1,000 tax increase at the beginning of the year. That's the only reason I supported this two-month payroll tax cut extension. It's a sad example of the dysfunction in Congress that we can't provide working Americans with more certainty at a time like this."
